In Memoriam, Felix Ntrakwah

Felix Ntrakwah was not only a giant in the field of law but also a remarkable leader, mentor, and visionary whose influence extended far beyond the courtroom. As the founder of Ntrakwah & Co., Felix shaped the legal and business landscapes of Ghana with his unparalleled expertise, deep integrity, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

A leading authority in company law and corporate counseling, Felix was instrumental in developing Ghanaian business law, guiding the divestiture of state-owned enterprises, and contributing to landmark decisions in company, commercial, intellectual property, and constitutional law. Among his many accomplishments, Felix served as project legal advisor for the successful listing of Produce Buying Company Limited and Cocoa Processing Company Limited on the Ghana Stock Exchange and played a pivotal role in drafting the Model Law on Trademarks for English-speaking Africa for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Felix’s contributions went far beyond his technical skills. As a member of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Court of Arbitration and a lecturer at the University of Ghana’s Faculty of Law, he helped shape the next generation of legal minds. His service on committees for business law reform and his publications on corporate governance and legal practice have left a legacy of thought leadership that continues to guide practitioners today.

More than his extraordinary achievements, Felix will be remembered for his character – his modesty, wisdom, and passion for empowering others. He was a man who believed in integrity and fairness, and he instilled these values in his family, his colleagues, and the firm he founded. Ntrakwah & Co. stands as a testament to his vision, carried forward by his three children who now lead the firm with the same dedication to high standards and client service that Felix exemplified.

Felix’s life was a masterclass in balancing professional accomplishment with personal kindness and community impact. Whether advising multinational corporations, serving on corporate boards, or mentoring young lawyers, he brought humility, humanity, and insight to every endeavor. His influence on Ghana’s legal profession and business community is immeasurable, and his legacy will live on through the work of the firm and the many lives he touched.

Felix’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, colleagues, and the countless individuals and businesses he guided with his wisdom. As a leader, father, and friend, he will be missed but never forgotten. Ntrakwah & Co. is honored to continue his mission of excellence, integrity, and service.
